Before we approve another development, we should know two things: what it costs and what our residents actually need.

A Cost of Community Services study shows whether new subdivisions pay for themselves or drain the budget. A retail-leakage study shows which stores residents already leave town to shop at - which shows exactly which categories are bleeding and how much. This means we can recruit the specific businesses residents already want, without adding a single acre of new commercial zoning. Homer Glen can finally make land-use decisions on facts instead of sales pitches.
