A Neighbor, Not a Politician
Heidi Pacella is an advocate for preserving open space and maintaining the assets of Homer Glen. With a degree in Psychology and minor in Creative Writing from DePaul University, she brings thoughtful leadership to community issues.
Growing up in a family business, Heidi understands the dedication required to build thriving operations and vibrant communities. She's committed to championing small, local establishments that give Homer Glen its unique character.
Heidi believes Homer Glen's greatest strengths lie in its environment and natural biomes. She opposes unnecessary infrastructure projects and fights to preserve our trees, farmland, and community character for future generations.

The Village Board Ignored Your Vote
In 2023, Homer Glen residents were asked whether License Plate Readers (LPRs) — known as "Flock" cameras — were necessary in our village. The people spoke clearly:
The majority voted NO. The money allocated was to remain in the general budget. The issue was settled.
December 2025
On December 3rd, 2025, despite the referendum result, the Village Board brought Flock cameras back at their Public Service & Safety meeting. On December 10th, 2025, the board approved Legislative Action Item #7 — a proposal from Flock Safety for twelve license plate cameras at a total cost of $106,650 ($57,150 upfront + $49,500 annual subscription).
