About the Candidate
A Neighbor, Not a Politician.

Heidi Pacella lives in Homer Glen, Illinois, with her husband Dominic and their six children aged 13 to 29. She was born and raised in a family transportation business (school buses) and married into another family business (intermodal trucking). As a "legacy employee," she learned early on that everyone needs to step in and help — cooperation, ambition, and determination are her lifeblood. Heidi strongly believes in the importance of family and connection, education, and green space — which inspired her and a group of parents to initiate a nature-based elementary school in 2016. Although the school has now successfully concluded, it provided Heidi with the opportunity to bring creative ideas, insight, and promote environmental advocacy. In 2025, Heidi ran as a write-in candidate for Homer Glen Trustee after being removed from the ballot for using the nickname "Hadley." Against a 9-candidate field, she secured over 550 write-in votes — a remarkable showing for a candidate without ballot access.
